The following selected dental related negligence cases have been recently settled out of Court by Mr Alex Bodza:

Re: W (2009)  Tooth whitening claim.  Defective product in an over the counter tooth whitening kit.  Damages of £24,000

W -v- Nemeskeri (2009).  Wrongful extraction.  Damages £3000

B -v- R (2009).  Periodontal claim/gum disease.  Damages of £34,000

Re:S (2008).  Periodontal Claim (gum disease).  Damages of £30,000

H -v- Rossouw (2005). Negligent orthodontic treatment of TMJ problems over a 7 year period. Damages £10,000

M-v-Crouse (2005). Wrongful extraction of four decidous or baby teeth. Damages £1850

H -v- De Graft (2005). Non diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease along with poor placement of dental crowns and dental bridgework. Damages £5000

M -v-Fallowfield (2005). Wrongful root canal treatment of LL6 instead of LL7 due to negligent placement of the rubber dam.  Damages £3200

J -v- Hartley (2005). Unecessary extraction of LR8 and LR7. Damages £1030

D -v Halvorsen (2005).  A piece of fractured dental instrument left in patients LR2 tooth which subsequently required extraction due to infection. Damages £1000

F -v- Karia (2005).  Substandard root treatment of LL6, failure to diagnose and treat caries to LL7, and secondary caries to LL5.  Damages £5000

H -v- Carr (2005).  Substandard root treatment leading to the loss of UL3 and failure to diagnose and treat secondary caries under crowns. Damages £4250

V-v-Kotecha (2005).  Poor placement of a titanium dental implant at UL1. Damages £4000

B -v- Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust (2004)  Failure to warn of lingual nerve parasthesia on surgical extraction of a lower wisdom tooth. Damages £12,000
